Board Director, AMEC
James Crawford is a board director of AMEC, the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication. He helped lead the collaborative development of AMEC’s seven GEO Principles and A Practitioner’s Guide to GEO Measurement, created to bring rigour, transparency and outcome-led thinking to AI-led discovery. With more than 20 years’ experience in communications measurement and evaluation, James focuses on how organisations can assess the public information environment shaping AI answers, distinguish visibility from reputation and impact, and connect emerging search and AI signals to meaningful stakeholder and organisational outcomes. He regularly contributes to industry debate on evaluation, reputation and the practical measurement challenges created by generative AI.
